Elisabetta Canalis is Still Talking About George Clooney
Elisabetta Canalis and George Clooney broke up in June after a 2-year relationship, but the Italian beauty is still talking about the silver fox. To be fair, interviewers probably hassle her constantly about what it was like to be on the dreamy actor's arm...but still.
The latest? She says she had a "father-daughter relationship" with Clooney and praised him in a new book called Questo Amore (This Love), by Italian journalist Bruno Vespa. Canalis, who was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars this season, said he was "the person who valued my feminine side the most" and "also one of the best people I have met from a charitable point of view."
She added (via People.com): "he has been a special for me, and very important, just as a father would be," then told Vespa, "between us there was more of a father-daughter relationship. I was unable to clarify this up 'til now."
Canalis then gave some insight into their relationship, and it's end. She said: "George and I never spoke of marriage nor of having kids. I don't put limits to the possibility of having them, but neither George nor I had ever envisaged having kids together. The end of the relationship was not caused by a marriage issue, but instead by our personal needs."
She didn't touch on the fact that Clooney has already moved on with blonde actress Stacy Keibler, but there doesn't appear to be any bad blood between the exes. Canalis continued: "George is a real gentleman even in his private life," she says. "I was very much respected both as a woman and partner."
