Sonora is where SH-49 meets SH-108. 108 heads up into the Sierras. I saw the chain control sign and decided to drive up as far as we could to let Chico get a taste of the snow. It turns out it wasn't very far, as the chain control was set up at the intersection with the road to Twain Harte and the back way to Black Oak.We pulled over and let the dog out. It wasn't really a good spot to let him off leash, as we were in the chain up area and it was pretty busy. Still, we got a taste of the snow and Chico got to run around in it a bit.
