Spike TV's 2011 Video Game Awards: A Star-Studded Affair
Honoring this year's best and brightest, the 2011 Spike TV Video Game Awards were held at Sony Studios in Los Angeles, California on Saturday evening (December 10).
Prettying up the red carpet were Hollywood beauty presenters such as Brooklyn Decker and Stacy Keibler along with "Camp Rock" stud Kevin Jonas, who was on hand to unveil the trailer for Rainbow 6 Patriots.
With fellow stars such as Seann William Scott, Jason Biggs and Hulk Hogan also on-hand, the show kicked off with host Zachary Levi telling the crowd, "As a gamer myself, I'm crazy excited about tonight."
Meanwhile, Seth Green revealed the Video Game Hall of Fame inductee as The Legend of Zelda, with Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto (who created the game) taking the stage to say, "None of this would be possible without you, and all of us at Nintendo are humbled by your support."
As for the winners, Mortal Kombat nabbed Best Fighting Game honors while Portal 2 had quite the strong showing by garnering five trophies.
The grand prize of Game of the Year went to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which also won Best RPG while Game Director Todd Howard took the stage to accept the award.
