Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber To Attend Teen Choice Awards

Show, airing live on Fox on August 7, will be hosted by 'Big Bang Theory' star Kaley Cuoco.

The Teen Choice Awards have found their host. 'Big Bang Theory' star Kaley Cuoco has been tapped to MC the big night, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Cuoco herself is up for Choice TV Actress: Comedy. Her show is up for Choice TV Show: Comedy and her co-star, Jim Parsons, is up for Choice TV Actor: Comedy.
Keeping the girl-power theme going, five-time nominee Selena Gomez has been slated to perform on the show along with her band, the Scene.
Jason Derülo has also been billed as one of the performers for the show, which airs live from Los Angeles on August 7 on Fox.
Gomez's boy, Justin Bieber (who is up for five surfboards at the show), will be in attendance, as will Cameron Diaz, Chris Hemsworth, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Victoria Justice, Ed Helms, Lucy Hale, Shaun White, Rose Byrne, Paul Wesley, 'Harry Potter' star Tom Felton, Kat Graham, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Shane West.
In addition to the already announced set of Teen Choice Awards nominees, which were released in two batches in June and again earlier this month, the nominees for the final category of Choice Vampire have also been announced. "Vampire Diaries" stars Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley face off against "Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson and Nikki Reed as well as the only nominee from "True Blood," Alexander Skarsgård.
'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' is the big nominee at the show with 12 nods, including Choice Movie: Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Choice Movie Actor:
Sci-Fi/Fantasy for both Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner and Choice Movie Actress: Sci-Fi/Fantasy for Kristen Stewart.

Last night concert goers got a surprise when they got to see Justin Bieber perform at Selena Gomez’s show! Justin came on the stage while the crowd went crazy and hugged his girlfriend before performing “Favorite Girl” and “Cry Me A River.” Justin posted this to Twitter about his surprise appearance:

Pop star joins new campaign to encourage fans to download PhoneGuard app that locks smartphone when car is in motion.

Justin Bieber likely spends way more time on private jets and international flights than behind the wheel of a car. But the teen pop sensation knows one thing about driving: You shouldn't text when you're behind the wheel. That's why Bieber, 17, has signed on to a campaign urging his fans to lay off the smartphone while they drive.

'We need to change the attitudes in our society toward texting and driving and I am making it one of my personal goals to make this happen,' said Bieber in a statement released as part of his endorsement of PhoneGuard's Drive Safe software, which disables the texting, email and keyboard functions of mobile phones while a car is in motion. 'Every night we perform, we have a banner that goes up that says 'Don't Text and Drive' so it really means a lot to me,' he said.

Bieber has been pushing his fans to give up texting while driving since earlier this year when he made a surprise appearance on 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' to promote the efforts of Wellman, Texas' Brown family, who have been raising awareness about the dangers of the practice since their daughter, Alex, was killed in a texting-while-driving incident. Bieber's anti-texting campaign will provide some funds to the Remember Alex Brown Foundation charity.

The singer joins a number of other major figures who've been working to get the word out about the dangerous practice, including the Jonas Brothers, who have been outspoken advocates with Allstate's 'X the Text' campaign. Others who've signed on for that effort include former 'American Idol' winner Jordin Sparks and 'Camp Rock' star Meaghan Martin. 'Glee' actress Jane Lynch has also filmed public service announcements, as her TV alter ego Sue Sylvester, on behalf of LG Mobile Phones to highlight the dangers of texting while driving.

Among the biggest names to endorse the end of the practice is Oprah Winfrey, who has been asking her followers to take the No Phone Zone Pledge since 2009, in which more than 423,000 people to date have vowed not to text while behind the wheel.

Despite being spotted hitting the studio earlier this week with Chris Brown, Justin Bieber just revealed that he has plans to take some time off this summer. After spending the last few years touring, recording and being beyond famous, he plans to spend the summer much like any other 17-year-old.

'I've been working so hard, I'm taking a month off,' he told The Hollywood Reporter. 'It's been great to just think and enjoy hanging out with my friends. I'm still growing up, and when you're working every day, you don't really get a chance to figure out who you are. So with the time off, I'm able to think, pray and just kind of grow up.'

That growing-up time has included some karaoke sessions with his lady love, Selena Gomez, and crashing weddings with her as well. He also explained that he's doing something equally normal: staying in bed. 'For sure [I'll be resting],' he said. 'I've been sleeping in a lot.'

Earlier this summer, he told MTV News that his favorite thing to do when he does get some time off is grill. Bieber is an avid BBQ pit master. 'Favorite thing to do in the summer?' he pondered for a moment. 'Have barbecues.'

'I can barbecue. I mean, I don't make the sauce very well, but I can grill,' he explained enthusiastically. 'No, [I can't cook]. I can just grill and stuff.'

Once he does wrap up that well-deserved time off, his work on his forthcoming album continues. It's a project that's been long-simmering for the teen superstar. '[I'm] writing about how I feel and producing. I've been producing on my laptop and on my computer,' he said. 'I've been really into it and, hopefully, this next album will be huge.'

"I've done a lot on my acoustic guitar, so it's gonna have that vibe," he continued. "I'm not gonna really limit myself. I think music is music, and genre — I mean, I know there's country music, there's rock music, but my music is different. My voice is not meant for any style. I just want to make music."

SAN DIEGO — Beliebers are in luck, because Justin Bieber might be heading to the big screen once again soon, if Pee-wee Herman has his way.

Turns out Herman, who has been working on a new film alongside producer Judd Apatow, has recently written the VMA nominee in as one of the celebrity cameos. The only problem? Bieber doesn't know yet.

'I can't really tell [what the cameo is], but he makes an appearance toward the end of the film,' Herman (actor Paul Reubens, but we definitely interviewed Pee-wee) told MTV News at San Diego Comic-Con. 'He doesn't know about it yet, so if you're watching this, Justin!'

That's not the only grade-A cameo Herman has written into the script. He has his eyes on lots of stars — and the White House.

'There's a party scene in the film that I think will have a lot of the stars. We just wrote President Obama into them. We have an offer out to him,' Herman unveiled. Will any other government officials be given a role in the movie? 'Sarah Palin wasn't asked. I have to draw the line somewhere, and unfortunately that's where it was drawn. I'm sorry, Sarah, I'm sorry,' he whispered.

The script for the currently unnamed comedy is being looked at by Universal Studios at the moment, and Herman said he hoped filming could begin within the next couple of months. It only helps that he has Apatow in his court and that the director/producer has words of wisdom to pass on to Herman to make the best comedy he can.

'He's given us the same advice over and over again, which is 'emotional arc,' ' Herman explained. 'He wants the character to go through an emotional arc and to come out on the other end arced. So that's what we're doing. We're adding an emotional arc. Emotional growth, so there's a change in Pee-wee Herman during this film. Pee-wee makes a change.'

Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun revealed to Hollywood Life that Justin is currently taking time to be a kid before he records his next album. However, Justin is heading to the studio in a couple weeks so we don’t have to wait long to hear new music from the star! Here’s what Scooter revealed:

Justin is taking his time to be a kid right now. It’s hard for him to be a kid. He’s not a ‘normal’ kid. He’s been really gracious with all the pressure. He’s excited to get back in the studio. We started the process slowly over the past couple of weeks, and we’ll get heavy into it in a couple of weeks.

We can’t wait to hear Justin’s new music, but we’re glad he’s taking time to have fun this summer!

Late last year, Justin Bieber and his 'homey' Lil Twist revealed they were working on a mixtape. Well, fans may soon get to hear a song and see a video from that mixtape.

When MTV News spoke to rapper Twist at 106 & Park's Closer to My Dreams tour stop in Los Angeles on Thursday, he told us that once his new single with Bieber reaches the masses, it would have a good chance at making a play in our race for Summer Jam of 2011.

'My third single, 'Wherever You Are,' ' Twist said of his summer jam pick. 'It features my little brother Justin Bieber and I believe that that record is going to really do it.'

Twist went on to dish about the duo's plans to step up their game for the song's forthcoming video.'We're gonna get some treatments [written],' he said. 'We're not just gonna pick any treatment because that video could just be out of here. We got a few different ones; I don't mean to name any [directors], but a few different ones. It's going to turn out great.'

The collaboration between the two young stars has been long-simmering, with Bieber and Twist teasing a full mixtape. For now, though, fans will have to settle for one track. Last November, Twist explained that Bieber had come up with the idea to work on some music together.

'Me and Justin, we actually met through a mutual friend and after that we got real cool actually,' he recalled. '[We] started working in the studio, sending stuff through the MacBook and everything. And then he was like, 'Yo, bro, we should do a mixtape. Let's go.' We just started then.'

Gecko Tattoo Meaning and Pictures

For many centuries, various cultures ranging from ancient Greece to tribal Polynesia have celebrated the gecko meaning. Due to the gecko's ability to quickly regrow its own tail when needed, it is said to be magical and will symbolize regrowth and luck.

The gecko tattoo is a popular lizard design which often appears in Polynesian tribal tattoos. It is believed to possess supernatural powers. Polynesians regard the gecko with both awe and fear. It is thought that if you are 'laughed' at by a green gecko it is a dreadful omen of bad fortune and illness.

The history of the gecko tattoo design and the gecko meaning can be credited to the islands of Polynesia that include Hawaii, French Polynesia, Tahiti, the Cook Islands, Tonga, Easter Island and Samoa.

Basically, there are two kinds of traditional tattoos that come from these islands. Which are the 'Enata', which is the natural design symbolizing your island of birth and origin, social level, work and life, and the 'Etua' which possesses a stronger spiritual representation.

Popular designs from Polynesia that have had a symbolic meaning include the shark, dolphin, turtle and gecko.

A tribal gecko tattoo will pay homage to distant ancestors together with the symbolism of the gecko meaning that they held true with their own beliefs. These tattoos are often bold and dark and are somewhat abstract in style, yet appear as a simplified version of an original form.

The tattoo's edges are angular and sharp and will often repeat in patterns that circle around a forearm or bicep, or is symmetrically placed on either side of the back or chest as mirrored reflections.

A gecko tattoo design can be created in brightly vibrant colors but many people still prefer the quirky abstract shapes to be done in boldly black ink.

Despite missionaries trying to eradicate the cultural traditions of this unique art all those years ago, tattoo designs from Polynesia have had a rebirth in the Western world today.

Multi-platinum producer Jim Jonsin has some interesting plans for when he gets in the studio with Justin Bieber. No, he won't be coupling the teen-pop sensation with B.o.B, but rather he will try to capture the vibe of NKOTB.

"For Bieber, I think I want to reach back to New Edition, those days," Jonsin initially said before referencing another 1980s Boston-bred boy band. "I want to try to do something like that — 'Please Don't Go Girl,' New Kids on the Block — because the girls would go crazy. Maybe not that song, but something that feels like that: little bit of soul, R&B, but pop as well."

While the track pre-dates the 17-year-old Bieber by about four years, 'Please Don't Go Girl' was the first single from NKOTB's sophomore album, Hangin' Tough, and ultimately put the group on the map. The ballad, which featured Joey McIntyre as the lead vocalist, drew comparisons to New Edition's 1983 single, "Is This the End" — not surprising considering both acts were founded and produced by Maurice Starr.

It isn't all about the '80s however: Jonsin also would like to produce something more modern for JB as well, using Kelly Rowland as a reference. 'And then I'd love to put him on something like that 'Motivation' type of track,' he said of the hit Rowland single he helped create. 'Just a hard beat that he could sing something super slick [on].'

Jonsin admits that, at first, he didn't know what to make of Justin, but thanks to the Biebs' 'Never Say Never' film, the hitmaker has a newfound respect for the young star. 'When I watched the movie with my 8-year-old daughter, I was floored and inspired at who he was as a person. He's a good kid, he's a philanthropist, he's a good role model,' Jonsin said. 'I have a newfound respect for the young man, and I'm honored to work with him.'

According to reports, Justin Bieber’s fragrance “Someday” is projected to outsell both Beyonce and Britney Spears’ perfumes. Macy’s executive vice president and general merchandise manager of cosmetics, fragrances and shoes, Muriel Gonzalez, told Women’s Wear Daily:

This is going to be the biggest launch we’ve ever had.

Justin’s “Someday” is expected to earn upwards of $30 million in sales. Have you picked up a bottle of the perfume yet?

They were both really sweet, especially Selena. Justin kept calling Selena ‘babe’ and she had some nickname for him too, but I was too overwhelmed to remember what it was. But it was something really cute.

Well, not addicted per say, but just much more likely to learn about Justin Bieber online rather than in magazines. This seems to be the case after the Audit Bureau of Circulations released the numbers for Justin Bieber’s Vanity Fair issue, which as it turns out only sold 246,000 copies. This is the lowest-selling issue of the magazine in 12 years – yikes!

Also, Justin’s issue of Teen Vogue magazine from October 2010 sold 12% fewer copies than the average issue the magazine puts out.

We all know that Justin continues to get more and more popular every day. So, the only reason we can think of for these poor magazine sales is the fact that many Beliebers spend their time online and don’t need to buy magazines to get their Justin fix. Also, these magazines put out the photos from their shoots online and often even publish the articles – so there’s really no need to buy the physical magazine issue if you only want to read about the person on the cover.
